All of the labels in Pirate Trader are done from the perspective of the market you are dealing with. The sell price is the price that the island market will sell it to you for.

Entering Data Manually:
It doesn't take long before the value of Pirate Trader becomes apparent. However, entering data can be a slow process, especially when you're visiting new islands, or haven't been to an island in a while. While you can enter data manually, using the OCR program is highly recommended.
When you go to the trade commodities screen, a list of items for purchase and sale are visible. Click on the name of an item. Use crtl+C to copy the data to your clipboard. Then, go to the Pirate Trader input window, and use crtl+v to paste it. You can paste many entries next to each other (no spaces between pastes needed) to enter the data quickly.
Automated Input:
The Pirate Trader OCR program helps users by automating the data entry process. Please download Pirate Trader OCR program (Only available for Windows). A few computers may need to download and install the Microsoft .Net Framework (Free Microsoft upgrade). When you start Pirate Trader OCR, it will have help to guide you through the data entry automation process. Additional help is available for Pirate Trader OCR.
